Join him for a journey through the 5 elements…
Peter brings his love of a moving meditation from China called Qigong
For thousands of years people have captured the essence of these simple movements to maintain balance and to heal themselves mentally and physically. Qigong accelerates healing and has a positive clinically recognized effect on almost all physical symptoms. Qigong helps heal the physical body and release stress of the mind. By moving your body, releasing trigger points, and stimulating your circulatory system, you literally become your own massage therapist. Simultaneously these movements help release negative emotions and memories that you no longer need and allow yourself to be much more present in your “now” so in a sense you become your own psychiatrist at the same time! Come learn how to build the foundation of being your own health advocate and enjoy emotional freedom and connection to all that is!
Next Peter will take you on an expedition, an adventure through movement and connection, both inward and outward as he takes us on a dance journey that has destination stops at each element. Music is selected to take you through each of the four elements (plus a surprise 5th element) that eventually leads you back to your center (Spirit) Allowing your True Self to be revealed!
Followed by a very opening and relaxing 5 elements massage, where you will get to experience for yourself or with a chosen partner, fully clothed touch of your choice, as Peter leads you through the fun exploration of touch through the 5 elements. Earth, nurturing grounded touch, Water, flowy, fluid, dancing touch, Fire, invigorating, activating, motivating touch, Air, softest of soft connected, cooling touch, and finally Ether, energetic touch.
We finish with a Chakra Balancing Meditation.
Chakras are centers of energy within the body running from the base of our spine up to above the crown of our head. The ancient Sanskrit word for chakra translates to ‘wheel’, suggesting that the energy centers in our body are wheels that move our energy upwards. They were first referenced in the Vedas text from the second millennium BCE.
All organisms give off a frequency, but what happens when our energy gets stuck? Are we able to access all of our potential in a state where we feel unsafe, unable to express ourselves, or aren’t totally open to love?
To me that means healing and loving ourselves first, because when we work on self-love, we create the capacity for all of the other forms of love to come to us. This helpful chakra meditation will help you to rebalance your energy centers, and help you feel safe, confident, and open:
Come with a partner, or pair up with different partners throughout the night, there is never anything you have to do, all exercises can be done solo.
Hope you will join us at this amazing venue in the heart of DC.
